Frequently asked
Honest answers.
Is this a replacement for my doctor or dietitian?
No. AharaOS provides dietary guidance grounded in your declared
conditions and observed signals. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or
treat. For diagnosis and treatment decisions, always consult your
clinician. The "next test to run" forecast is designed to give you a
productive starting point for that conversation, not to replace it.
How is this different from MyFitnessPal, HealthifyMe, or Noom?
Generic trackers rank foods by macros and treat every user as if they
had zero medical context. AharaOS filters every food candidate against
your conditions (PCOS, thyroid, BP, diabetes, kidney, inflammation)
before ranking by macro fit. The condition filter is a hard gate, not
a rank signal — and it's the moat.
What data do you collect and where does it live?
Your profile, food / supplement / water logs, body metrics, lab values,
and conditions. Indian-user data lives in Supabase Mumbai (ap-south-1)
for DPDP compliance. We never send health-data fields to third-party
analytics or ad SDKs. Account deletion + data export are one-tap from
inside the app.
Vegetarian only?
Strict vegetarian by default in India (where most users prefer it).
Omnivore default planned for the US / EU launch with vegetarian as a
one-tap toggle. The condition engine itself is diet-agnostic — same
code path serves all diets.
Does the cultural calendar matter if I'm not religious?
Only if you fast or follow observance rhythms. The calendar engine
handles Hindu (Ekadashi / Caturmasya / Navratri), Christian (Lent),
Muslim (Ramadan), and Jewish (Yom Kippur) observances with grace-day
logic. If none of those apply to you, you'll never see those surfaces.
When is Android available?
iOS is available today. The Android version
(Kotlin + Jetpack Compose + Health Connect) is in development; both
apps will ship to their stores within the same launch window.
